One freezing Winter's day, I was sitting in my car between clients, watching the crashing waves from the Southern Indian Ocean as a storm was brewing. Feeling disheartened and saddened as I looked at yet another pre-prepared cold lunch, and thinking, this just isn't it; I don't want another cold, tasteless, miserable lunch! I don't want to spend more money today; I don't want to bring sandwiches. I want healthy, tasty, warm lunches! Siiting there I was thinking, with all the technological advancements in today's modern day,

"There's just got to be a better way."

That frustration kicked me into gear that day and became my inspo for The Wavvo.

Like many Australians, I am constantly on the go. When it comes to meals, some days there is no kitchen or house around to heat meals up. Other days there is a place to stop but nowhere to heat my food, without buying a whole new warm meal.

In my mid 20's, I'd spent many months travelling around Australia in a Kombi van. This trip introduced me to the difficulties of being able to have warm meals on the road. Along the way, I discovered there were countless ways to keep food cold; an esky, a cooler bag, car fridge and freezers, ice, dry ice, ice bricks, and even frozen water to use as ice. But surprisingly I found very few practical ways to keep a homemade meal warm when you were away from a power source or Kitchen.

While sitting in my car, for lunch break between clients recently I discovered. That all these years later, the same was still true! Nearly 20 years on! Despite all the technological advancements. Despite the mordern digital world we now live in, there was still no answer to this problem.

Whether you're working on the road, between job sites, spending the day at kids' sport, heading out on a road trip, travelling, or simply living a busy life, a warm delicious and nutritious meal shouldn't be a luxury. It should be a given.

Yet too often the choices remain the same:

🍽️ Buy expensive takeaway, or simply

🍽️ Go without!

You should never have to settle for any of these alternatives. This frustration kicked me into gear and I decided it was time to create a better one and thats how The Wavvo was born. Today, The Wavvo exists to help women and their families enjoy warm, homemade meals where ever life takes them. I believe life on the go shouldn't mean settling for cold lunches, unhealthy convenience food, or wasted meal prep.

My mission is simple:

To enjoy warm, satisfying meals possible anywhere, anytime.

Because leftovers don't need to be cold and unsatisfying anymore.
